Vaping, or using an electronic cigarette, is often thought of as a safe alternative to smoking. 

While vaping it thought to be safer than smoking, it does come with some risks. Some vapes contain harmful chemicals, and most of them contain nicotine, which is a highly addictive substance. Vaping is also thought to increase the risk of health issues such as heart disease.
