About Accreditation

Leeds Autism Services are accredited by the National Autistic Society.

The Autism Accreditation Programme is the UK’s only autism-specific quality assurance programme of support and development for all those providing services to autistic people.

Achieving accreditation proves that an organisation is committed to understanding autism and setting the standard for autism practice. It is a way for organisations to show they offer excellent support to autistic children and adults.

What the assessors said about Leeds Autism Service VACS...

The accreditation report is written by a team of assessors who visit our services, observe our staff supporting people, carry out surveys, and look at our records, reporting, policies and specialist provision.

This is a valuable tool for Leeds Autism Services VACS as it helps us to develop action plans so we can continue with our aim to make continual improvements to our service.

We complete a self-assessment form and have an in-person assessment visit from the National Autistic Society every three years where a panel decides if we will be re-accredited. Our last in-person assessment visit took place in April 2024.
