Join us for a walk through a jewel in Yorkshire's crown on Saturday 28th September, and help raise money for a great cause!

Planned by Damien (Leeds Autism Services member) and Emily (Support Worker), the walk is 10 miles long, and will cover part of the picturesque Meanwood Valley Trail.

The walk starts at 9am at Woodhouse Moor skate park, stopping off at Meanwood Park around 10am, and then onto Goldenacre Park for a spot of lunch at around 12pm, before returning to the start point.

How Can I Take Part?

Anyone is welcome to take part in the walk, and you will be joining a group of our wonderful service users and employees.

People can join us for the full walk, or just complete as much as they think they can manage.

If you would like to register to take part, please use the button below.

After participants have registered, we will send a digital flyer and a link that you can share to promote the event on social media in the run up to the event.

Please note that places for this event need to be limited for health and safety reasons. We do not expect to exceed capacity, but if we do, places will be allocated on a first come, first served basis.

How Your Donations Help

100% of the donations raised from this walk will go towards providing new opportunities for the people we support, ensuring our bases are well equipped, and helping us in our mission to create a more autism friendly society. This may include:

  • Buying up-to-date IT equipment and software to help facilitate communication and decision making
  • Organising trips out to places people would not be able to access in their day-to-day lives
  • Acquiring specialist equipment to help our members manage their sensory processing needs
  • Purchasing life skills equipment to help people develop their independent living skills, improving their life opportunities
  • Running inclusive events to help improve autism understanding and promote better inclusion for autistic people

Although our employees salaries are paid through local authority fees, we rely entirely on your kind donations to provide up-to-date equipment and facilities for the people we support, and to help us to achieve our vision.

Thank you for your support!
